Your display, a whole collection.
An e-ink display of more than 500,000 colours, no blue light, that holds the image with no electricity. The whole Yaniv Edery collection, from the app.WasParticles, not pixels.
Electronic ink comes from MIT. Each display holds millions of microcapsules, each the thickness of a human hair.
Inside each capsule, black and white particles float in a fluid. An electrical pulse moves them. They form the image, then stop.
It is ink on paper. Except it can be rewritten endlessly.

All about the appY-Ink500,000colours
The “Y” replaces the “E”: it is Yaniv Edery's initial. A standard technology becomes an artist's technology.
Over 500,000 colours on e-ink, a world first. The chromatic depth of resin, with the readability of paper.
Nothing moves. Nothing draws.
Bistability: once the image is formed, the particles stay put with no power. The display only draws current when it changes artwork.
Up to 36 times less energy than a digital screen of the same size.

One artwork change costs the equivalent of a fraction of a second of a television.
It doesn't light up. It reflects.
An LCD or OLED emits its own light, blue included. E-ink returns the light of the room, like a canvas.
Readable in full sun. Soft at night. No eye strain.

It plugs in to change artwork and to recharge. Once the image is formed it stays displayed with no power: that is e-ink bistability. The display runs on battery between two changes.
Over 500,000, where standard colour e-ink tops out at a few thousand. The rendering is close to a paper print: matte, glare-free, readable in daylight.
Yes. At launch the display is sold together with the Y-Ink app (€20/month): it is what lets you change artworks, keep favourites and generate AI pieces. The display ships with the artwork chosen at checkout.
